A-B-C, "Nightline" and "Bernie Mac Show" win Peabody Awards

Athens, Georgia-AP -- A-B-C News and National Public Radio have won Peabody Awards for their coverage of the September eleventh terrorist attacks.

A-B-C's "Nightline" was also honored for its 20 years of news coverage. The show was called "a truly remarkable television institution."

H-B-O was honored for five projects, including the World War Two miniseries "Band of Brothers" and the play "Wit" starring Emma Thompson.

"The Bernie Mac Show" on Fox won a Peabody for breaking through the barriers of race and class.

Two shows on Nickelodeon won awards -- "Blue's Clues" and "Little Bill."
