HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (WTOL) -

ODOT tweeted a heads-up to drivers on I-75 southbound, south of state Route 698.

According to the tweet, I-75 southbound between SR235 and US68, from Findlay to Mount Cory is restricted to one lane during an investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The Findlay Courier reported that the search is "precautionary" for evidence, possibly related to the body of a Michigan man found on the northbound side of the interstate recently.

BCI also confirmed that OSHP requested help from them on an investigation, but BCI would not elaborate on what the investigation was.

Sergeant Tiffiany L. Meeks sent the following statement below to WTOL:

"While conducting an additional search between Findlay and Bluffton we have located potential evidence related to a missing person case.  The case remains under investigation."

ODOT is asking for drivers to move over and to slow down for law enforcement within the zone.
